A breath of fresh air!

A newly minted ‘destination’ sign commissioned by the BVI Tourist Board has made its official debut at the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Park in Road Town.

The sign is a colourful and attractive addition to the QEII park and adds an unmistakeable breath of fresh air to its more sedate surroundings.

The Tortola sign was put together by GreenCrete and painted by local artist Desiree Smith.

A post on the Tourist Board’s Facebook page adds an illustrative backstory about the significance contained in each of the letters of the sign.

The most recent of four island destination signs commissioned by the Tourist Board and designed by GreenCrete to be decorated by artists, it makes for an incredibly scenic backdrop for visitors and locals alike to add to their photo galleries.

The Virgin Gorda sign was painted a few months back and has been receiving rave reviews since then for its novelty and creativity.
